Your Travel Experience with Spirit Journeys Worldwide
Just half an hour away from Dornoch lies the majestic Dunrobin Castle, a splendid gem of history and architecture. As one of Britain's oldest inhabited homes, this castle's resemblance to a French chateau is a sight to behold. Take some time to explore its grandeur, with entrance fees paid locally. Continuing our journey, a brief stop in Brora offers a chance to stroll along its sandy beaches and soak in the coastal beauty. Further along the road, we reach the picturesque fishing village of Helmsdale, where stretching our legs and breathing in the salty sea air rejuvenates the spirit. Next on our journey is the famous Whaligoe steps near a quant town called Lybster. First prospected by Thomas Telford in 1786 who decided it was a terrible place for a harbour, Captain David Brodie then went on to build the steps at a cost of £8,resulting in a harbour which supported 14 herring boats. And we make our to the final destination John' o groats, as more of northern coast exploration await from tomorrow. (Any entrances are paid locally)
